As a parent, it has been tough making sense of the tragic incident. And it still is. I can’t even comprehend the anguish and devastation that both sets of families must be feeling.
My immediate reaction was the want to bubble wrap my kids and protect them for as long as I breathe. But I know that isn’t possible. My kids have got their own lives to pursue, own challenges to face and own dangers to overcome. And far beyond the grades, top accolades and personal achievements, what matters to me at the end of the day is they always remain happy, healthy, safe and morally upright. Because life doesn’t always follow the way we envision and being able to spend every day fruitfully with my loved ones is a blessing. Not that LinkedIn portfolio.
